I really don't think Apple will update the Air's with Sandy Bridge.
Here is why, the high resolution display (1440X900) will make the Intel graphics a major downgrade from the 320m in performance. I think the Air will get updated with the next MBP update (2012) and the 13" MBP and MBA become one with Ivy processors. Also at this time I expect the 15" and 17" MBP's to become "Air" like with SSD storage, thinner, and lighter.
I was holding out for the update, but came to this conclusion and made my purchase, which I couldn't be more satisfied with.
I may be wrong, but I would rather have the 320m if they do update it, the Thunderbolt is what will hurt if you use external drives..

edit- if the serial on the phone matches the box, its the original.
I won't be opening the box if I buy it, that's for sure.
Might not be an answer to this, but does anyone know how much a sealed iPhone 2G might be worth? And may be worth in the future?

that would be a step backwards because of the slow transfer speeds of bluetooth.

My wife and I were at home. For some reason she had the urge to turn on the TV. We stayed glued to the TV for hours. Like others watching history unfold before our very eyes.
Our church had a special prayer for the 9/11 victims today.

Convenience is the key. Everyone carries their cell phone with them so it's way more convenient to pull it out and play a casual game than a separate portable game device.
I think it's going to kill devices like the DS as the games get better and the smart phone platforms more powerful. It's not going to happen tomorrow, but portable game systems days are numbered.

But I've never had a problem with the logo...it's playful, artsy, and somewhat "cheeky"...which, to me, is just right for MacRumors. So, no logo change for at LEAST another year...if ever.:D

Oh, and 5P has left the building, for an undermined amount of time. ;)
I read a post somewhere that said 5P had left us.
Is that true? That would be so sad. :(
As someone once said, "He may be a bastard, but he's our bastard."
Probably 3 days, if my experience is to be trusted. ;)

I think you should try opening it and saving it with a different image editor. See if that works. Just a suggestion.

I have done almost exactly the same (a Vertex 2 120Gb in a 2008 Mac Pro).
I ordered the 3.5" SSD for exactly that reason, to simplify fitting in one of the two spare disk bays. However, I actually had some difficulty fitting; see this thread:
http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1134200
The way I ended up fitting the SSD seems to have worked fine, and I subsequently ordered a 240Gb SSD which I installed in the same way. Neither of the SSDs came with their own screws, so I used the ones in the Mac's own sleds; if your SSD has suitable screws supplied with it, you may find the fitting rather easier.
As for installing OS X:
I simply used Disk Utility to copy the original boot drive to the SSD. Prior to doing this, I moved my home folder to a separate data volume (so that I can still boot from the original HD and use the same home directories), but it obviously isn't necessary to do that. This all worked fine.
(I realise that some people advise using different tools to clone the boot volume. I have no experience of this, so all I can say is that Disk Utility worked fine. Cloning is presumably a lot quicker than reinstalling everything from scratch.)
I also applied the TRIM patch, which seems to have worked fine, with no ill effects.

Same for MacBytes: "Macintosh News, Headings, and Links".
An aside: The Apple home page, hot news page, and hardware and software pages together use the word "Macintosh" only once! But people browsing Apple's site probably know what Mac stands for.
Good thought, but I don't think this is necessary. When I search in Google, I get this:
"Mac Rumors: Apple Mac Rumors and News You Care About [...]
Description: Apple news and rumors with user contribution and commentary."
People who are looking for Mac things should be able to figure it out, in my opinion. If they're looking for something else, they should be able to figure out that it's not the right place.

Thanks for the reply. Hmm... That could work. Does anyone know if there's a tweak to set a limit on the amount of photos that can be stored? Or a "delete all photos" tweak?

This is probably old news, but I just noticed from the screenshots that there will be adjustable grid spacing for the Finder in Leopard. I am really happy about this.
